Attention: 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th, 11th, and 12th grade Social Studies, History, and Government Teachers! What’s planned for 2006-2007:
Constitution Day Celebration: Come see the new Roots of Freedom gallery and receive a free Constitution Day curriculum kit! (Sept. 21, 2006)
Attend Curriculum Camps and receive mentoring from a master educator. (Half days after school, Fall 2006 and Spring 2007 )
Fieldtrips to SLC to participate in the annual statewide Dialogue for Democracy (Nov. 9-10 2006) and research in the State Historical Archives & tour the Federal Court House and talk one-on-one with federal judges and staffers (early Spring 2007).
Archeological camping trip in Range Creek to view pristine American Indian ruins and artifacts (Summer 2007).
Attend lectures on American Indian history & culture. (Winter 2006/7) Learn how to conduct oral histories (great activity for students!): The grant is going to buy three (3) digital cameras to be kept at district offices, used in project activities, and available for the use by teachers for class lessons! (Winter 2006/7)
(The above activities are tentative and are pending teacher interest, instructor availability, project board approval. The only acceptions are Constitution Day and The 6-day bus trip; both of these are definite.)

$75/day stipend for their time OR paid substitute teacher.
Valuable instructional resources. USOE credits (good towards Highly Qualified status)
